Kinetic River Receives Ninth Patent
Kinetic River was recently issued U.S. Patent No. 10,564,088, Particle analysis and sorting apparatus and methods. Coming on the heels of U.S. Patent No. 10,488,343, issued just three months ago, this now makes a total of nine issued patents for Kinetic River (eight in the U.S. and one in China). Additionally, Kinetic River has multiple U.S. and international patent allowances (with issuances to follow) as well as multiple U.S. and international patents pending.
Our patents fall into three different families of intellectual property: (1) technologies using fluorescence lifetime, including the Arno (compensation-free flow cytometry) and Danube (direct fluorescence lifetime measurements) instruments; (2) extremely high-throughput flow cytometry (Loire); and (3) label-free flow cytometry (Yangtze).
Kinetic River founder Dr. Giacomo Vacca is now inventor or co-inventor on a total of 53 issued U.S. and international patents, as well as 17 pending as inventor or coinventor.
