Kinetic River Receives Tenth Patent

We are very excited to share Kinetic River was recently issued U.S. Patent No. 10,656,072, “Flow cytometry apparatus and methods”. This marks our tenth patent in ten years. We have nine in the U.S. and one in China.

Additionally, Kinetic River has multiple U.S. and international patent allowances (with issuances to follow) as well as multiple U.S. and international patents pending.

Our patents now fall into four different families of intellectual property: (1) technologies using fluorescence lifetime, including the Arno (compensation-free flow cytometry) and Danube (direct fluorescence lifetime measurements) instruments; (2) extremely high-throughput flow cytometry (Loire); (3) label-free flow cytometry (Yangtze); and (4) modular, customizable systems (Potomac).

Kinetic River founder Dr. Giacomo Vacca is now inventor or co-inventor on a total of 54 issued U.S. and international patents, as well as 17 pending as inventor or coinventor.
