Kinetic River is Issued its 12th Patent

As this year’s Q2 comes to a close, Kinetic River celebrates a new milestone.

Our company was recently issued U.S. Patent No. 11,035,778, “Flow Cytometry Apparatus and Methods.” As Kinetic River’s twelfth issued patent (eleven in the U.S. and one in China), it continues to grow our patent portfolio in high-throughput flow cytometry.

Our patents fall into four different families of intellectual property:

  • Technologies using fluorescence lifetime, including the Arno (compensation-free flow cytometry), Danube (direct fluorescence lifetime measurements) instruments, Colorado (automated autofluorescence removal), and Tiber (label-free cancer cell detection).
  • Extremely high-throughput flow cytometry (Loire).
  • Label-free flow cytometry (Yangtze).
  • Modular, customizable systems (Potomac).

For our President and Founder, Dr. Giacomo Vacca, this is his 60th patent. Visit his profile on our website to see his complete list of patents.

Many thanks to Ashley Sloat and Alisa McCarthy of Aurora Consulting LLC for their outstanding work on developing and expanding our patent portfolio.
