A 12-Color Compensation-Free Run on the Arno

What you’re looking at is an entirely new kind of instrument. Based on our Time-Resolved Flow Cytometry technology, the Arno uses half as many lasers and detectors as conventional analyzers but measures the same number of markers—without having to compensate for (or “unmix”) spectral spillover at all. This is a 30,000-event run on a sample of mononuclear cells (provided by our wonderful collaborator Bill Telford @ NCI) from last Friday, measured by Principal Scientist Alan Chin on our Gen-2 “slow” prototype (our Gen-3 unit, currently under test, is ~ 30x faster). Imagine never having to run compensation/unmixing on any sample ever again!
